lslb capacity

lslb as I understand it funnels all website traffic through the server running lslb. We have a property that is spread across 7 application servers and we are using dnsmadeeasy for dns based load balancing.

Problem is that at its peak, it is sending out 500 MBit/sec total across the seven servers. It seems impractical to funnel all that traffic down to one public facing server.

What is the best way to go about load-balancing this high volume of a site? Can you cluster multiple lslb servers together in some way?

lslb should not be the bottleneck, the network card(NIC) is.

you can add another 1G bps NIC card on the server and bond 2 1Gbps NIC to a 2G bps NIC.
or replace it a 10G bps card.

Yeah, but that still leaves me with a single point of failure which we are trying to avoid.

Guess we'll have to stick with the dns system.

Thanks
