Move from External Apps / Scripts to Auto Config?

Looking at this article here:

Our site still has external apps/script handlers defined, should they be removed? Any good way to test before causing site problems?

backup /usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd_config.xml

remove external apps/script handlers defined (it's ok to keep them though)

restart lsws to test

if any issue, you can restore back saved httpd_config.xml and restart lsws again
