Problem with proxy setup and 404s

So I finally got this proxy setup. I installed litespeed on 3 target servers that are behind a load balancing firewall.

Ok, as soon as I kill apache and start litespeed the site just spits 404 errors. As soon as I restart apache all is fine. I am using the apache config with litespeed.

Any idea what this can be?

Are you using a hosting control panel?
Which version of LSWS used? 4.0.3? 4.0.4?
Maybe you can try run LSWS with a port offset, enable debug logging, it should give you some useful information in the error log to trouble shoot this problem.

It is with cpanel, latest version of lsws.

I wil try the logging thing. But everything works fine on apache, just when restarted into lsws it gives 404 error

The litespeed proxy is going to a load balancer which distributes between the 3 litespeed web servers.

There was some issue with 4.0.4 release. It has been fixed, please download again, it should work now.
