Prevent Litespeed from blocking Varnish

Even with the IP address of Litespeed added to the ACL in Litespeed's configuration, Litespeed still blocks Varnish with the following message:

2014-10-26 20:12:11.928 [NOTICE] [1.2.3.4:34951-0] too many bad requests, block.

There's really no way to prevent Varnish from proxying "bad requests", so what can I do to make sure Litespeed doesn't block it?

how did you do it ? let's double check if this is correctly done before going forward.

In the Litespeed admin GUI, I went to:

Server -> Security

Then under "Access Control", in the "Allowed List" I have:

"ALL 1.2.3.4" (the IP which the error log is reporting as being blocked).
