Code:
/usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd_config.xml is not a valid file.
this is serious -- since that's the main configuration file.
you may need do a fresh installation.

Uninstalled - Installed - On installation I see a few things I dont get:

Cannot find RUBY installation, remember to fix up the ruby path configuration
before you can use our easy RubyOnRails setup.
On build match configuration I get:

Found Apache php binary at /usr/local/bin/php. Version is 5.2.13

Found LiteSpeed php binary at /usr/local/lsws/fcgi-bin/lsphp5. Version is 4.4.9

PHP binary has different version!
when building it also shows:
Generating configuration script
Forcing buildconf
buildconf: checking installation...
buildconf: autoconf version 2.59 (ok)
buildconf: Your version of autoconf likely contains buggy cache code.
Running vcsclean for you.
To avoid this, install autoconf-2.13.
Can't figure out your VCS, not cleaning.
rebuilding configure
aclocal.m4:2150: PHP_PROG_LEX is expanded from...
rebuilding main/php_config.h.in
autoheader: WARNING: Using auxiliary files such as `acconfig.h', `config.h.bot'
autoheader: WARNING: and `config.h.top', to define templates for `config.h.in'
autoheader: WARNING: is deprecated and discouraged.

autoheader: [Define if a function `main' is needed.])

autoheader: WARNING: documentation.

Im totally confused.

Maybe your VPS does not have enough memory to build PHP from the plugin, you may have to build PHP from command line after install LSWS. Or, let your host bump your memory limit temporarily to build matching PHP successfully.

Yes there is available memory - At the time of logging in there is 1.6GB free

I did ask the host they wanted to rebuild the cpanel there must be another way round this.

Also it does build perfectly, Yet its the admin panel I cannot get into - When I try get in it generated the log.

/usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd_config.xml is not a valid file
Uninstall / Install did not fix this.

version:

cPanel 11.25.0-S46156 - WHM 11.25.0 - X 3.9 - CENTOS 5.5 i686
Now this is only a trial key ! Yet this still should work, See Im not going to pay if I cannot get this going, Hense the name trial.

I experienced this error a few days back:
/usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd_config.xml is not a valid file
vhosts looks running fine, but can't login admin console.

in the end, I figured out it's because admin_php (which run lsws web console) is running as nobody, not lsadm. so it can't read file in /usr/local/lsws/conf and /usr/local/lsws/admin/conf which owner and group is lsadm:lsadm, permission is 700.

when you can't login lsws admin console, please check what user admin_php is running as:
ps -ef|grep admin_php
