Directadmin suexec home directory? Whats this?

#1
Hello,

At directadmin litespeed at suexec i could see 3 options.

-Yes
-No
-Run under home directory (recommended for directadmin)

What does this mean? Why its better to set this run under home? Or just click to yes?

Hello Peter,

Selecting "Run under home directory" scripts outside a user's home directory will not runs as the vhost user but as the global user/group. This can be beneficial if you have scripts outside the user's home directory that are not owned by the vhost user and need to be run by the web server user.

Cheers,

Michael

Which is safer? Yes or Run under home directory at Directadmin panel?

PHP suEXEC: Yes
should be safer.

"Run under home directory" is there mainly because of directadmin.
if you can get update from directadmin developer, will be best.
WHM/cPanel doesn't seem need this option.
